Gulf Island Peat Moss Co Inc., is located in Foxley River, Prince Edward Island, Canada and was established in 1972. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of AVPM producing peat moss in a modern, highly automated harvesting and packaging plant. Total production capacity is one million bales of peat moss which is harvested on 400 hectares of company owned peat land. Gulf Island also produces 55 cubic foot compressed JUMBO peat moss bales. The total land holding is 1000 hectares with four kilometers (3 miles) of shoreline on the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Northern Peat Ltd. is located in Ellerslie, Prince Edward Island, Canada and was established in 1994. Northern Peat Ltd. is the youngest of the group of companies and owner of 320 hectares of peat land with a peat deposit of 25,000,000 6 cu ft bales of peat. Primary production is the professional growing mediums containing blond fibrous sphagnum peat moss, vermiculite, perlite, fertilizer, trace elements, and pH adjusted with an annual production capacity of 600,000 6 cu ft equivalent bales.
